Anton Dolders commenced mixing paint at the age of eight when he represented items around the home. He later took up a pencil to capture scenery and life in Merseyside and Lancashire, paying particular attention to the waterways located in the two counties. His primary interests lie in portraying spaces such as land, water and skies and their correspondence with both elemental and human born features including architecture, light and even people. Perspective and expanse play major roles in his work.
Anton attended art college where he studied film-making and photography. This proved useful for fine tuning compositional skills but as regards application of line, marks and paint; he is self taught.
Anton uses a variety of media in the creation of his work but his favourites still remain: pencil, oil, pastel and charcoal.
