Stephanie de Leng was born in Atlanta, Georgia of Dutch parents, and raised in London. At the age of 18 she embarked on a decade-long rollercoaster ride as an international photo model before coming down to ground on the other side of the camera. This "hands on" apprenticeship helped shape Stephanie's personal approach to portraiture.

The recipient of numerous photo accolades, including an award from "Women In Photography International" in 2004, and highly commended in "Merseyside Woman of the Year 2008", Stephanie is the artist behind the controversial fine art calendar "Beauty and the Beach". In 2008 she published the well-received "People in Liverpool". She is presently a regular contributor to LiverpoolConfidential.com and has just finished "the Secret Life of Smithdown Road" for the forthcoming Museum of Liverpool.

Stephanie is married, has two boys, and has lived in Liverpool with her family for over twenty years.
